MIRS Mobile (“the App”) is provided by Michigan Information & Research Service, Inc. (“MIRS,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information the App collects and how we use it.

Information we collect

Account information — When you sign in, we process your name and email address to authenticate you and connect you to your MIRS subscription.
Notification token — If you enable push notifications, we store a device push token so we can deliver the alerts you’ve requested.
Usage/diagnostic data — We may collect limited technical information (e.g., error logs) to keep the App working reliably.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or other device data, and the App contains no advertising.

How we use information

To provide and secure your account and deliver MIRS content and research tools.
To send the alerts and push notifications you choose to receive.
To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App.

How information is shared

We do not sell your information or use it for cross-app advertising or tracking. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the App — for example, our push-notification delivery provider (Expo / Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging) processes the push token solely to deliver notifications. These providers are bound to use the data only to provide their service to us.

Data security & retention

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and retained while your account is active. You may request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us (below); deleting your account removes associated push tokens and preferences.

Children

The App is intended for legislative and professional audiences and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
